Curious about technical diving, but not sure about jumping straight onto a tec course?
The PADI Discover Tec experience allows you to begin your technical diving training in a pool where you can try out tec equipment and skills for the first time.
What will I learn?
Your Immerse School of Diving Tec Instructor will explain the equipment you’ll use, and go over basic tec diving procedures such as the importance of diving in teams.
You’ll get in the water, make gear adjustments, then simply explore and get a feel for the equipment. You’ll also go over some basic tec diving skills (such as primary to secondary regulator switching, and gas shutdown procedures).
What does it involve?
To participate in the PADI Discover Tec Diving experience, you must be at least 18 years old, be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organisation), and have at least 10 logged dives.
Once you have booked in with Immerse School of Diving you will need to complete a few forms and bring these to your first session – including a Medical Statement. Please ensure you read the medical in full before your session. If you answer “yes” to any question on the Medical Statement you will need medical clearance before you can dive – see our FAQs for further information.
What is next?
If you enjoy your PADI Discover Tec experience, and think that technical diving is for you, booking on a PADI Tec 40 course will guide you on your route to becoming a fully qualified technical diver.
