Fewer than 2% of divers ever earn the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, the "black belt" of scuba diving and the highest non-professional PADI rating. However, Chris has achieved just this - within only six months of starting scuba diving!
Chris has achieved his PADI Open Water, PADI Advanced Open Water, PADI Rescue Diver (and therefore his EFR CPR and First Aid), and five PADI Specialty Diver qualifications, completing all his training with Immerse School of Diving in Telford, Shropshire.
In some respects much more importantly, Chris has over 50 dives under his weight belt. In fact, he is well on his way to completing his 100th (and traditionally butt naked) dive. And nope, we are not talking about 20 minute 6 metre bimbles either! Chris has dived through the hardiest UK season doing the circuit of our inland sites, but has also racked up a number of dives out in the choppy salty stuff including a Club Immerse trip to Egypt.
So it's true to say that Chris has put the time and effort in not only to achieve his PADI Master Scuba Diver rating, but also to gain real and convincing diving experience with Club Immerse to back it up too. This is especially noteworthy as Chris is one of the busiest people we know!
A confident and extremely competent scuba diver, Chris, you should be proud of the incredible progress which you have made - we certainly are super proud of you.
And of course, behind every amazing scuba diver is an understanding and supportive buddy. Brett - you two make a great pair of "bundies" and you are hot on Chris' heels. Great work guys! Looking forward to wetting our fins with you again next Tuesday at Stoney Cove!
Give us a shout if you are interested in following in Chris' footsteps, and becoming one of the top 2% of recreational divers.
